Overview
The Employee list is a list of all the employees associated with your base chart. The employee list can be accessed by users while in Chart mode, Edit mode, as well as Planning.

Accessing Employee list
To access Employee list, click on the Employee list option on the right-rail.
500 employees will be loaded at a time. Search, filter, or scroll to see additional employees.
Employees in the employee list are displayed with a colored icon to indicate their assignment status relevant to their position. The following icons may be shown:
| Icon | Description |
| Assigned to a position. | |
| Unassigned from a position. | |
| Released/Separated from a position. | |
| Assigned to a position outside the scope of the current plan. |
Navigating Employee list in Chart mode
The Employee list is available in Chart mode while browsing your base charts or custom charts. While using the Employee list on custom charts, only the employees within the scope of the custom chart are available.
The following options are available while in Chart mode:
| Option | Description |
| Search | Search for employee by name. |
| Filter the employee list to see specific records. | |
| Hover over an employee, and then click to navigate to that employee record in the chart. | |
| Hover over an employee, and then click to open the profile card for that record. |
Navigating Employee list in Edit mode
The Employee list is available while editing custom charts in Edit mode. While using the Employee list on custom charts, only the employees within the scope of the custom chart are available.
The following options are available while in Edit mode:
| Option | Description |
| Search | Search for employee by name. |
| Filter the employee list to see specific records. | |
| Hover over an employee, and then click to navigate to that employee record in the chart. | |
| Hover over an employee, and then click to open the profile card for that record. | |
| Hover over an employee, and then click to open the employee details for that employee. | |
| Assign | The assign button becomes available when a position is selected and the Employee list is open. Check the checkbox to the left of an employee in the Employee list, and then click Assign to assign that employee to the selected position. |
Navigating Employee list in Planning
The following options are available while using the Employee list in Planning:
| Option | Description |
| Search | Search for employee by name. |
| Filter the employee list to see specific records. | |
| Hover over an employee, and then click to navigate to that employee record in the chart. | |
| Hover over an employee, and then click to open the profile card for that record. | |
| Position details | Click to expand/collapse position budgetary details. Reference the Compensation budget planning on position driven charts article for more information. |
| Assign | The assign button becomes available when a position is selected and the Employee list is open. Check the checkbox to the left of an employee in the Employee list, and then click Assign to assign that employee to the selected position. |
