Configuring your Rippling account for OrgChart integration
To connect OrgChart to Rippling, you need to generate an API token in Rippling with the appropriate scopes.

Log in to Rippling as an administrator, and then follow
this documentation
outlined on Rippling's developer portal for generating API tokens.

Select the scopes required to allow OrgChart to read employee and organizational
data from Rippling. At minimum, enable the following scopes:
- employment-types.read — Read employment types data available to the authorized client
- workers.read — Read workers data available to the authorized client
- workers.custom-fields.read — Read custom field values for workers
- users.read — Read users data available to the authorized client
Important
The API token is only displayed once. Copy and store it before closing the window. If you lose the token, you will need to generate a new one.
Setting up a Rippling integration in OrgChart

Click on the Settings button in the bottom right corner, and then select the Chart Settings option from the list.
- Click on the Change data source button, and then select the Rippling option from the data source menu.

Paste the API token generated from your Rippling account into the API Token text box. Leave the Domain text box empty.
- Click on Save to preserve your changes.
- Click on Save in the Chart Settings: Data sources panel, and then click on Refresh.
