Overview

Paylocity is a cloud-based payroll and human capital management software. OrgChart can pull employee data directly from Paylocity.

Paylocity integration FAQ

1. How do I set up my connection to Paylocity?
   
   Once you have configured your Paylocity account for OrgChart integration, contact OrgChart Support to setup your Paylocity integration in OrgChart. You will need to provide OrgChart Support with your company ID(s) in order to do this.
   
   
2. Can I pull photos from Paylocity?
   
   Not at this time. Reference the Importing Photos article to review additional options for importing photos into OrgChart.
   
   
3. Can I limit the fields that a user is able to pull from Paylocity?
   
   You can use a limit fields import filter to restrict which fields you pull into OrgChart.
   
   
4. What fields can I pull from Paylocity?
   
   OrgChart can pull most fields associated with an employee. Reference the Paylocity field compatibility section below for more information. You can contact OrgChart Support to request that additional fields become available via the API.
   
   
5. Can I pull data from multiple companies into one chart?
   
   Yes. To pull Paylocity data from multiple Paylocity company IDs, you can append Paylocity as an append data source. Please provide the additional Paylocity company ID(s) to OrgChart Support.
6. Can I merge data from a secondary source with Paylocity?
   
   Yes. Reference the OrgChart Integrations article to see if OrgChart integrates with the secondary (append or merge) data source that you're interested in. 
   
   
7. Can I pull open positions from Paylocity?
   
   Not at this time. You can generate a flat file (Excel or CSV) containing your open positions and upload those from Paylocity manually. Reference the flat file prep article for more information on how to format your document.
   
   
8. Can I embed org charts (generated from Paylocity data) into my intranet?
   
   Yes. Reference the Web Links article for more information.
   
   
9. Can I filter which records are included in my org charts?
   
   Yes. Reference the Import Filters article for more information.

Setting up your Paylocity integration in OrgChart

Paylocity clients must send the company ID for which they've registered third party vendor integration to OrgChart Support in order to set up their Paylocity integration.

Paylocity field compatibility

OrgChart pull fields associated with the Get Employee API call. OrgChart DOES NOT pull fields from the following tables at this time:

• additionalDirectDeposit
• additionalRate
• benefitSetup
• federalTax
• localTax
• mainDirectDeposit
• nonPrimaryStateTax
• primaryPayRate
• primaryStateTax
