Configuring your Paycor account for OrgChart integration
You must have admin-level permissions in Paycor to generate API credentials . Your organization must have an active Paycor subscription and an active OrgChart subscription with integration permissions.
Setup App Creator Account
You should have received an email that invites you to use our developer portal. This will give you access to setup your user credentials and access our App Creator. The App Creator is where you can setup your application information as well as determine what privileges are needed for your app (aka: data access privileges to our APIs). You can invite other users her to help manage and create the applications. Simply click to add an invite someone to create a user account.
Create an Application
Within App Creator, authorized users can create an application. This is where you’ll provide and get the necessary details to gain access to data in our API using the standard OAuth 2.0 flows. Create the application with a name:
And immediately you will get the OAuth application client ID and secret:
Please Note: you will have the opportunity to rotate and get a new client secret within App Creator if you don’t want to copy and save this information now. Next, you will retrieve and setup some items for your application.

Data Access Tab
The APIs operate under a least privilege model, which allows us to control which endpoints your application can call, and what data you can request from those endpoints. Here, you can configure to toggle data access on and off based on what you need. In our lower environments, you can choose any access that you need; feel free to turn all access on if it’s helpful for development. In Production, we will review and approve that access that you will ultimately request from real clients. Each time you change and save your data access, a new OAuth scope will be created. That scope/version information is available on the General Tab.
