Audience: Administrators and Read/Write users
Overview
Users can highlight records in Base Chart or Custom Chart mode. For example, you can highlight 'Remote Workers' to easily locate them in the chart.
OrgChart offers two Highlight types:

Saved Highlights - Highlights configured by Administrators in the Chart Settings: Filters & Highlights panel

Interactive Highlights - Highlights configured by each user to dynamically illuminate specific employee records.
Accessing the Highlights Panel
1. Click on the Highlights tab on the side toolbar in the chart mode.
2. The Highlights panel is displayed to the right side of the screen.
Applying Saved Highlights
1. Check the checkbox to the left of a Highlight to enable it.
2. Optionally, enable more than one Highlight to compound the results.
3. Uncheck the checkbox to the left of a Highlight to disable it.

If desired, Administrators can enable a Saved Highlight by default. Reference the Chart Settings: Filters & Highlights article for more information.

Interactive Highlighting
Interactive Highlighting allows users to illuminate records on-demand while navigating their charts in Chart mode. Users can build and combine highlights to locate specific employee records, and see the results in real-time.
Interactive highlights are specific to each user and persist between sessions.
Accessing Interactive Highlighting
1. Click on the Highlights tab on the side toolbar in the chart mode.
2. The Highlights panel is displayed to the right side of the screen.
3. Click on the + Create Highlights button (under the My Highlights heading) to begin.
2. Click on the > button to the left of the New Group to expand it.
3. Click on the Add Field drop down, and then search for the field in your dataset that you'd like to use to highlight.
4. A list of values associated with the chosen field is displayed in the Highlights panel.
5. Check the boxes associated with the value(s) that you want to see highlighted in the chart. Employee records matching the checked values are displayed with the chosen highlight color.
6. Optionally, click on the colored box on the left side of the selected field and then select a color of choice to set as the highlight color.
7. Once you have finished building your highlight, click on the pencil icon besides the new highlight group to edit the name and similarly click on the delete icon if you want to delete it.
