Audience: All users
Overview
The My Settings function allows each user to configure certain aspects of their user experience.
Note
Administrators can restrict user's access to the User Settings options via a user's UI profile.
Accessing My Settings
Click on the “initialed” circle (in the top-right corner of the screen) to access your personal settings.
A user can customize their app experience here. The following menus are accessible from User Settings:
- Preferences
- Change Password
- User Details
- Sign Out
Preferences
Click on the Preferences option to see the following panel
App Preferences
Language | See the language to be used in the OrgChart user interface. Available languages include English, French, Spanish and German. |
Mouse Controls | Set the behavior of your mouse wheel:

Measurements | Toggle measurements to display in SI (Metric) or English (Imperial). For example, you can control if page sizes are displayed in centimeters or inches. |
Theme | Choose to explore the application in Light mode or Dark mode. |
Multi-Factor Authentication | Click to enable Multi-Factor Authentication for the current user. |
Email Notification Preferences | Check the checkbox associated with one of the following options:

Change Password
The change password panel allows users to change their password.
User Details
The user panel provides information on the user that is currently logged in.
Application
The application panel provides information on the application, including application version.
Application | Version of the software the current account is running. |
Browser | Current user's internet browser. |
Server | Web address of the OrgChart server on which the current account is hosted. |
DPR | Device Pixel Ratio |
Account
The account panel provides information about the user's account.
Company Name | Name of the company |
OrgID | Unique identification code (assigned by OrgChart) associated with the current account. |
Edition | The Edition of OrgChart the current account is running. |
Expiry Date | Expiration date of the OrgChart subscription. |
Start Date | Start date of OrgChart Subscription |
Seat Limit | Maximum number of administrators that are added into the account with full access. |
Currently Used Seats | This shows the number of administrators in this account |
Box Limit | Maximum number of employee records the Administrator can import into the current account (typically aligned with the total number of employees in the organization). |
Currently Used Boxes | Total number of employee records currently imported into the account. |
User
The user panel contains information about the user that is currently signed in.
User ID | User Id of the current user |
Email address of the current user | |
Access Group | Name of the Access Group to which the current user belongs |
Account Type | Displays the role of the user |
Chart
This panel contains information about the currently open chart.
Chart Name | Name of the current Base Chart |
Chart Description | Shows any chart description if given |
Current View | Name of the View that is applied to the Base Chart. |
Filters Applied | List of applied filters |
Background | Name of the background that is applied on the Base chart |
Levels Shown | Number of levels of the organization showing on current subchart of the Base chart |
Current Top Box | Name and Title of the person at the top of the current subchart. |
Box Count | Total number of records in the Base Chart |
All Disconnected Records | Total number of orphan records. Orphan records or disconnected records cannot be included in an org chart due to a missing or invalid Supervisor ID. |
Boxes Shown | The number of boxes that are shown on the current page of the open chart. |
Last Refresh | Date and time the chart was last synchronized with source data. |
